By 8:00 p.m. ADT tonight intensifying low 998 mb located southeast
of Laurentian Fan.
Marine Weather Statement
Issued 10:40 PM ADT 5 October 2024 A low pressure system developing south of the marine districtWill intensify as it nears Laurentian Fan later today.
Winds will increase to strong to gale force northeasterlies over
southeastern waters throughout today and begin to weaken Monday
morning.
Marine interests are advised that gale warnings are in effect for
Banquereau - southeastern half and Laurentian Fan.
Hurricane Kirk currently weakening with Max sustained winds of 100
knots and a central pressure of 951 MB. Kirk is located 32.5 N, 48.0
W and is moving north at 17 knots and is not expected to impact the
marine district.
