Issued 8:00 PM AST 23 February 2024 Tonight and Saturday At 8:00 p.m. AST tonight trough located over the Gulf of Maine.
By 10:00 a.m. AST Saturday trough located from Cabot Strait to
Georges Bank.

At 8:00 p.m. AST Saturday trough located from Newfoundland to East
Scotian Slope.

Marine Weather Statement

Issued 7:41 PM AST 23 February 2024 A trough of low pressure over the Gulf of Maine will move eastward
across southern waters overnight tonight and Saturday. Gale force
southerlies will develop ahead of the trough and shift to strong to
gale force northerlies behind it.

Marine interests are advised that gale warnings are in effect for
Lurcher, Browns Bank, Georges Bank, LaHave Bank, West Scotian Slope,
eastern shore, Sable, East Scotian Slope, Fourchu, Banquereau,
Laurentian Fan, Cabot Strait, Gulf-Magdalen and Anticosti -
southwestern half.

Freezing spray warnings are in effect for Fundy, Grand Manan,
Lurcher, southwestern shore, eastern shore and all Gulf of St.
Lawrence waters.
