Technical Marine Synopsis

Issued 3:30 PM ADT 12 March 2026 Tonight and Friday At 3:30 p.m. ADT today departing low 994 mb located over the Gulf
of St. Lawrence.

At 3:00 a.m. ADT Friday trough from low located on a line
northeast-southwest over the eastern Marine District.
By 8:00 p.m. ADT Friday departing trough located east of the
Grand Banks.

Marine Weather Statement

Issued 3:13 PM ADT 12 March 2026 A low pressure system is currently over the Gulf waters and will
Progress into the Gulf of St. Lawrence by this evening. Winds are
forecast to become strong to gale force northwesterlies in its wake
this afternoon and into the evening.

Marine interests are advised that gale warnings are in effect for all
waters except for Fundy, Grand Manan, Lurcher, Browns Bank, Georges
Bank, southwestern shore, West Scotian Slope, Northumberland Strait,
and Chaleur - Miscou - western half.

Marine interests are also advised that freezing spray warnings are in
effect for Cabot Strait - northern half and all Gulf of St. Lawrence
waters except Northumberland Strait.
