By 10:00 a.m. NST Friday low 970 mb located northeast of Belle
Isle Bank.
At 3:00 a.m. NST Friday approaching trough from low located on a
line east-west over the Quebec Lower North Shore.
At 10:00 a.m. NST today departing ridge located east of the Marine
District.
Marine Weather Statement
Issued 9:56 AM NST 11 December 2025 A deepening low pressure system will approach the district from thewest this morning and track across Gulf waters today. Strong to gale
force northeasterlies will spread over Gulf waters today while strong
to gale force southwesterlies spread over southern waters. Winds will
diminish tonight for a period before increasing again to strong to
gale force southwesterlies ahead of a trough trailing behind the low
on Friday.
Marine interests are advised that gale warnings are in effect for all
waters except Strait of Belle Isle, Gulf - Port au Port -
southeastern half, Northeast Coast - north of Cape St. John, and
Belle Isle Bank.
