Wind increasing to southeast 45 early Thursday morning and locally gusts to 55 along the coast Thursday morning. Wind diminishing to southwest 25 Thursday afternoon then increasing to northwest 35 Thursday evening.

Rain beginning overnight changing to showers Thursday afternoon. Fog patches forming Thursday morning and dissipating Thursday evening.

Issued 10:00 AM NDT 14 October 2026 Today Tonight and Thursday At 10:00 a.m. NDT today deepening low 1006 mb located over Maine.
By 10:00 a.m. NDT Thursday low 989 mb located over Newfoundland.

At 10:00 a.m. NDT today ridge located over western Newfoundland.
By 3:00 a.m. NDT Thursday departing ridge located east of the
Grand Banks.

At 10:00 a.m. NDT today departing low 931 mb located east of
Greenland.

Marine Weather Statement

Issued 9:48 AM NDT 14 October 2026 A low pressure system will approach the marine district from the
southwest today and move northeastward across Newfoundland on
Thursday. Gale to storm force southerlies to southeasterlies will
develop ahead of the low this evening and shift to strong to gale
force westerlies to northwesterlies in its wake late in the day on
Thursday.

Marine interests are advised that storm warnings are in effect for
Funk Island Bank and Northern Grand Banks. Gale warnings are in
effect for all remaining waters.
