Technical Marine Synopsis

Issued 3:30 PM NST 6 November 2025 Tonight and Friday At 3:30 p.m. NST today departing low 968 mb located northeast of
Funk Island Bank.

At 3:30 p.m. NST today deepening low 970 mb located over western
Banquereau.
By 3:30 p.m. NST Friday low 956 mb located northeast of Funk
Island Bank.

Marine Weather Statement

Issued 3:29 PM NST 6 November 2025 A low pressure system will rapidly intensify as it tracks
northeastward across the Grand Banks tonight. The low will then move
to lie northeast of Funk Island Bank by Friday afternoon. Strong to
gale force southeast to northeasterlies ahead of the low will shift
to storm to hurricane force northwesterlies behind the low.
Winds will further diminish to strong to gale force west to
northwesterlies as the low pulls away on Friday.

Large waves and pounding surf will produce higher than normal water
levels along north facing shorelines until Friday, especially near
high tides.

Marine interests are advised that hurricane warnings are in effect
for the Grand Banks. Storm warnings are in effect for South Coast and
East Coast - Cape St. Francis and south. Gale warnings are in effect
for all remaining waters.

Marine interests are also advised that a high water level warning is
in effect for South Coast.
