By 8:00 p.m. NST Friday dissipating low 993 mb located over western
Newfoundland.
At 3:00 a.m. NST Friday intensifying low 1000 mb located southwest
of Laurentian Fan.
By 8:00 p.m. NST Friday low 976 mb located over the southern
Avalon Peninsula.
Marine Weather Statement
Issued 7:57 PM NST 13 November 2025 A low pressure system over the South Coast of Newfoundland will crossEastern Newfoundland tonight before dissipating Friday evening over
Western Newfoundland. Strong to gale force southeast to
northeasterlies can be expected ahead of the low, with strong to gale
force southwesterlies in its wake.
A second low will approach from the south on Friday as it moves to
lie over Eastern Newfoundland by Friday evening. Gale force
southeasterlies will spread across southern and eastern waters ahead
of the low on Friday. Winds will shift to gale to storm force
westerlies as it passes.
Marine interests are advised that a storm warning is in effect for
Southwestern Grand Banks. Gale warnings are in effect for all
remaining waters.
