By 10:00 a.m. NST Friday trough located on a line
northeast-southwest over Funk Island Bank.

At 10:00 a.m. NST today ridge located on a line east-west over
the northern Grand Banks.
By 3:00 a.m. NST Friday departing ridge located over Belle Isle
Bank.

Marine Weather Statement

Issued 9:49 AM NST 22 February 2024 A trough of low pressure will approach from the southwest and cross
southern waters late today to lie over Funk Island Bank on Friday
morning. Strong to gale force southerlies are expected south of the
trough this evening and Friday.

Marine interests are advised that gale warnings are in effect for the
Grand Banks.

Marine interests are also advised that freezing spray warnings are in
effect for Belle Isle Bank.
