By 8:00 p.m. NDT tonight departing low 979 mb located east of the
Marine District.

At 3:30 p.m. NDT today low 999 mb located over the Gulf of Maine.
By 3:30 p.m. NDT Tuesday low 989 mb located north of the Gaspe
Peninsula.

At 3:30 p.m. NDT today ridge located on a line northwest-southeast
over Newfoundland.
By 3:30 p.m. NDT Tuesday ridge located east of the Marine District.

Marine Weather Statement

Issued 3:21 PM NDT 14 October 2024 An weakening area of low pressure east of Funk Island Bank will
continue away from the district tonight. Strong to gale force
northwesterlies will diminish this evening as the low departs and a
ridge moves in from the west.

A second intensifying low pressure system over the Gulf of Maine is
expected to track northward across New Brunswick tonight and into the
Northern Gulf of St. Lawrence Tuesday. Strong to gale force east to
southeasterlies will spread over most waters ahead of the low
Tonight and Tuesday.

Marine interests are advised that gale warnings are in effect for
Strait of Belle Isle - western half, Gulf waters, Northeast Coast,
Belle Isle Bank, Funk Island Bank, and Northern Grand Banks.
