Island Bank.

At 10:00 a.m. NST Wednesday intensifying low 985 mb located over
the Great Lakes.
By 3:00 a.m. NST Thursday low 975 mb located over Quebec.

At 3:00 a.m. NST today ridge located on a line north-south over
eastern Newfoundland.
By 3:30 p.m. NST today departing ridge located east of the Grand
Banks.

At 3:00 a.m. NST today building high located south of Laurentian
Fan.
By 3:00 a.m. NST Wednesday high located south of the Grand Banks.

Marine Weather Statement

Issued 2:59 AM NST 27 February 2024 An intense low pressure system moving northeastward across Quebec on
Wednesday, and an area of high pressure to the south of the marine
district will cause strong to gale force southwesterlies to develop
between these two features on Wednesday.

Marine interests are advised that gale warnings are in effect for
Strait of Belle Isle, Gulf waters, Northeast Coast, Belle Isle Bank,
and Funk Island Bank.
