By 3:00 a.m. NST Friday trough located on a line northeast-southwest
over the Grand Banks.

At 3:00 a.m. NST today ridge located on a line east-west over the
southern Grand Banks.
By 3:30 p.m. NST today departing ridge located over Belle Isle Bank.

Marine Weather Statement

Issued 2:59 AM NST 22 February 2024 A trough of low pressure is will approach from the southwest and
cross southern waters late today to lie over Funk Island Bank on
Friday morning. Strong to gale force southerlies are expected south
of the trough this evening and Friday.

Marine interests are advised that gale warnings are in effect for the
Grand Banks.

Marine interests are also advised that freezing spray warnings are in
effect for Strait of Belle Isle, Northeast Coast, and Belle Isle
Bank.
