Issued 10:00 AM NST 15 January 2021 Today Tonight and Saturday At 10:00 a.m. NST today low 1007 mb located south of the AvalonPeninsula.
By 8:00 p.m. NST tonight dissipating low 1006 mb located over the
northern Grand Banks.
At 10:00 a.m. NST today intensifying low 995 mb located south of
Laurentian Fan.
By 3:00 a.m. NST Saturday low 974 mb located over the southeastern
Grand Banks.
Marine Weather Statement
Issued 9:54 AM NST 15 January 2021 A intensifying low pressure system will approach from the southwesttoday and cross the Extreme Southern Grand Banks tonight. Strong to
gale force southeasterlies will develop over southeastern waters
ahead of the low today. Gale to storm force northerlies will develop
in the wake of the low tonight.
Marine interests are advised that storm warnings are in effect for
East Coast - Cape St. Francis and south, Northern Grand Banks -
western half, Southeastern Grand Banks - western half, and
Southwestern Grand Banks. Gale warnings are in effect for all
remaining waters except Strait of Belle Isle, Gulf waters, Northeast
Coast and Belle Isle Bank.
