Issued 3:00 AM NST 29 January 2022 Today Tonight and Sunday At 3:00 a.m. NST today intensifying low 990 mb located off Cape
By 3:00 a.m. NST Sunday approaching low 969 mb located over
southwestern Nova Scotia.

At 3:00 a.m. NST today dissipating trough located on a line
northeast-southwest over the West Coast of Newfoundland.

At 3:00 a.m. NST today ridge located on a line northeast-southwest
over the eastern Grand Banks.
By 3:30 p.m. NST today ridge located east of the Grand Banks.

Marine Weather Statement

Issued 2:56 AM NST 29 January 2022 A low pressure system off Cape Hatteras will rapidly intensify today
as it tracks up the Eastern Seaboard, crossing the Maritimes tonight.
The low will continue northeastward across Southeastern Labrador on
Sunday to lie over the South Labrador Sea by Sunday evening. Gale to
storm force southeast to northeasterlies will spread across most
waters later today ahead of this low and shift to gale to storm force
southwesterlies on Sunday as the low tracks to the north.

Marine interests are advised that storm warnings are in effect for
all waters.

Marine interests are also advised that freezing spray warnings are in
effect for Gulf waters and Northeast Coast.

Marine interests are further advised high waves, pounding surf and
elevated waters levels are expected during high tide on Sunday
morning along south and east-facing coastlines from Port aux Basques
to Placentia Bay.
