over Belle Isle Bank.
By 3:00 a.m. NDT Sunday departing ridge located northeast of Belle
Isle Bank.

At 8:00 p.m. NDT tonight low 983 mb located south of Nova Scotia.
By 8:00 p.m. NDT Sunday low 992 mb located over Newfoundland.

Marine Weather Statement

Issued 7:45 PM NDT 8 May 2021 An intense low pressure system south of Nova Scotia will move to lie
over Cape Breton Island tonight then over Southwestern Newfoundland
on Sunday. Strong to gale force east to northeasterly winds will
develop ahead of the low tonight then shift to southerly to the east
of it on Sunday. Winds will diminish over most waters later on Sunday
as the low weakens.

Marine interests are advised that gale warnings are in effect for
Strait of Belle Isle, Gulf waters, Southwest Coast, and Northeast
