By 10:00 a.m. NST Tuesday departing low 1005 mb located east of
the Marine District.
At 10:00 a.m. NST today departing ridge located on a line
northwest-southeast over Belle Isle Bank.
At 10:00 a.m. NST Tuesday approaching low 1014 mb located over
southwestern Nova Scotia.
Marine Weather Statement
Issued 9:51 AM NST 30 January 2023 A low pressure system over Gulf - Port au Port will tracknortheastwards across Newfoundland today to lie east of the marine
district on Tuesday. Strong to gale force southeasterlies to
southwesterlies can be expected to the east and south of the low's
track today. Winds will diminish to light to moderate in its wake
tonight and Tuesday.
Marine interests are advised that gale warnings are in effect for
Southwest Coast, South Coast, East Coast, Funk Island Bank, and the
Grand Banks.
Marine interests are also advised that freezing spray warnings are in
effect for Strait of Belle Isle, Gulf waters, and Northeast Coast.
