Technical Marine Synopsis

Issued 3:30 PM ADT 8 October 2024 Tonight and Wednesday At 3:30 p.m. ADT today trough located on a line north-south over
the western Marine District.
By 3:00 a.m. ADT Wednesday trough located from the Gaspe Peninsula
to East Scotian Slope.

At 3:30 p.m. ADT today departing ridge located from Labrador Sea
to Laurentian Fan.

Marine Weather Statement

Issued 3:17 PM ADT 8 October 2024 A trough of low pressure over the western marine district will
intensify as it slowly crosses the region tonight. Strong to gale
force southeast winds will develop this evening over northern waters
ahead of the trough and shift to moderate to strong westerlies in its
wake.

Marine interests are advised that gale warnings are in effect for
Banquereau - northwestern half, Cabot Strait, Gulf - Magdalen,
Chaleur - Miscou - eastern half, and Anticosti.
