Issued 10:00 AM NST 1 March 2024 Today Tonight and Saturday At 10:00 a.m. NST today trough located over the Grand Banks.
By 3:00 a.m. NST Saturday trough located east of the Marine
District.

At 3:00 a.m. NST Saturday approaching ridge located over the
Maritimes.

Marine Weather Statement

Issued 9:47 AM NST 1 March 2024 A trough of low pressure over the Grand Banks will move east of the
marine district today. Strong to gale force westerlies are expected
to persist in its wake. Gales are forecast to ease throughout the day
on Saturday as a ridge of high pressure approaches from the west.

Marine interests are advised that gale warnings are in effect for all
waters except Strait of Belle Isle and Belle Isle Bank.

Marine interests are also advised that freezing spray warnings are in
effect for all regions with open water except Southeastern Grand
Banks.
