Issued 3:00 AM NST 20 January 2020 Today Tonight and Tuesday At 3:00 a.m. NST today low 988 mb located over the Southwest Coast
of Newfoundland.
By 8:00 p.m. NST tonight low 988 mb located northeast of Belle
Isle Bank.

By 8:00 p.m. NST tonight approaching ridge located on a line
east-west over the Maritimes.

By 8:00 p.m. NST tonight trough located over northern Labrador Sea.

Marine Weather Statement

Issued 3:00 AM NST 20 January 2020 A low pressure system located over Southwest Coast will cross Central
Newfoundland this morning to lie northeast of Belle Isle Bank by this
evening. Gale to storm force east to southeasterlies ahead of the low
will shift to strong to gale force west to northwesterlies in its
wake. Winds will shift to moderate to strong westerlies as the low
departs this evening.

Marine interests are advised that storm warnings are in effect for
East Coast - Cape St. Francis and south, Funk Island Bank, and the
Grand Banks. Gale warnings are in effect for all remaining waters
except Strait of Belle Isle and Gulf waters.

Marine interests are also advised that freezing spray warnings are in
effect for all waters except East Coast - Cape St. Francis and south
and the Southern Grand Banks.
