Issued 3:00 AM NDT 17 October 2021 Today Tonight and Monday At 3:00 a.m. NDT today low 980 mb located east of Funk Island Bank.
By 10:00 a.m. NDT today departing low 982 mb located east of the
Marine District.

At 3:00 a.m. NDT today ridge located on a line north-south over
the Gulf of St. Lawrence.
By 3:00 a.m. NDT Monday ridge located on a line northwest-southeast
over the East Coast of Newfoundland.

At 8:00 p.m. NDT tonight approaching trough located over the
Maritimes.

Marine Weather Statement

Issued 2:54 AM NDT 17 October 2021 A low pressure system east of the Funk Island Bank will finally move
away from the region today. Strong to gale force northerlies over
eastern waters will gradually diminish as the low weakens.

Meanwhile a trough of low pressure approaching from the southwest
will move over the Maritimes tonight. Strong to gale force
southeasterlies will develop tonight and Monday as the trough
approaches.

Marine interests are advised that gale warnings are in effect for
Gulf - Port au Port, Southwest Coast, South Coast, Funk Island Bank
and the Southwestern Grand Banks.
