At 3:30 p.m. NST today trough located over the Maritimes.
By 3:00 a.m. NST Sunday trough located on a line east-west over
the South Coast of Newfoundland.
At 3:00 a.m. NST today ridge located on a line northwest-southeast
over the southern Grand Banks.
By 3:00 a.m. NST Sunday departing ridge located on a line
northwest-southeast over the eastern Marine District.
Marine Weather Statement
Issued 2:54 AM NST 14 December 2019 A trough east of Belle Isle Bank will continue to depart to the eastthis morning. Strong to gale force northwesterlies over northeastern
waters will diminish this morning as the trough departs.
A second trough will approach from the southwest today and will
slowly track northward across Newfoundland on Sunday. Strong to gale
force southeasterlies ahead of the trough will shift to strong to
gale force southwesterlies to its south.
Marine interests are advised that gale warnings are in effect for all
waters.
Marine interests are also advised that freezing spray warnings are in
effect for Northeast Coast, Belle Isle Bank and Funk Island Bank.
