Issued 8:00 PM AST 20 February 2024 Tonight and Wednesday At 8:00 p.m. AST tonight quasi-stationary low 960 mb located east
of Labrador Sea.

At 8:00 p.m. AST tonight ridge located over New England.
By 10:00 a.m. AST Wednesday ridge located over the Maritimes.

At 8:00 p.m. AST Wednesday approaching low located south of the
Marine District.

Marine Weather Statement

Issued 7:55 PM AST 20 February 2024 Strong to gale force northwesterlies will continue over northeastern
waters between an intense low east of the Labrador Sea and a ridge of
high pressure approaching from the west. Winds will gradually
diminish overnight tonight.

Strong to gale force easterlies are expected to spread north over
southern waters on Thursday.

Marine interests are advised that gale warnings are in effect for
Banquereau - northern half, Cabot Strait, Gulf-Magdalen -
northeastern half, and Anticosti - southwestern half.

Freezing spray warnings are in effect for eastern shore, Sable,
Fourchu, Banquereau, Cabot Strait, gulf- Magdalen, Chaleur-Miscou,
and Anticosti.
