Issued 3:14 PM AST 22 January 2026 Strong to gale force southwesterly winds ahead of a trough of lowpressure tracking eastward across the marine district will shift to
strong to possibly gale force westerlies in its wake tonight and
Friday.
Marine interests are advised that gale warnings are in effect for
Georges Bank, West Scotian Slope, eastern shore, Sable, East Scotian
Slope, Fourchu, Banquereau, Laurentian Fan and Cabot Strait.
Marine interests are advised that freezing spray warnings are in
effect for all Gulf of St. Lawrence waters.
