Marine Weather StatementIssued 9:41 AM AST 22 February 2024 Strong to gale force easterly winds have developed over southern
waters this morning between a ridge of high pressure over the
Maritimes and a low pressure system south of Georges Bank. The low
will move through southeastern waters tonight with strong
northwesterlies diminishing in its wake.
Marine interests are advised that gale warnings are in effect for
Georges Bank, West Scotian Slope, East Scotian Slope, and Laurentian
