Issued 3:30 PM ADT 6 October 2024 Tonight and Monday At 3:30 p.m. ADT today intensifying low 1000 mb located south of
Laurentian Fan.
By 8:00 p.m. ADT Monday departing low 993 mb located southeast of
the Grand Banks.

At 3:30 p.m. ADT today ridge located from Labrador Sea to Cape Cod.
By 8:00 p.m. ADT Monday ridge located from Labrador Sea to East
Scotian Slope.

Marine Weather Statement

Issued 3:16 PM ADT 6 October 2024 A low pressure system will continue to intensify this evening as it
sits south of Laurentian Fan. Strong to gale force northeasterlies
over southeastern waters will begin to weaken Monday morning as the
low pulls away.

Marine interests are advised that gale warnings are in effect for
Banquereau - southeastern half and Laurentian Fan.

At 12 P.M. ADT, hurricane Kirk was located near 35.6 north and 47.7
west, with maximum sustained winds of 85 knots and a central pressure
of 960 MB. Kirk is moving northeast at 22 knots and is not expected
to impact the marine district.
