Issued 3:00 AM NST 19 January 2020 Today Tonight and Monday At 3:00 a.m. NST today low 1007 mb located near Cape Cod.
By 3:00 a.m. NST Monday low 990 mb located over southern
Newfoundland.

At 3:00 a.m. NST today ridge located over the Gulf of St. Lawrence.
By 3:00 a.m. NST Monday departing ridge located on a line east-west
over Belle Isle Bank.

Marine Weather Statement

Issued 2:49 AM NST 19 January 2020 A low pressure system will approach from the southwest today and will
cross Central Newfoundland tonight to lie over Belle Isle Bank Monday
afternoon. Gale to storm force east to southeasterlies will develop
over eastern waters ahead of the low tonight. Winds will shift to
moderate to strong westerlies in its wake on Monday.

Marine interests are advised that storm warnings are in effect for
East Coast - Cape St. Francis and south, Funk Island Bank, and the
Grand Banks. Gale warnings are in effect for all remaining waters
except the Strait of Belle Isle and Gulf waters.

Marine interests are also advised that freezing spray warnings are in
effect for the Strait of Belle Isle, Gulf waters, Northeast Coast,
Belle Isle Bank, and Funk Island Bank.
