By 4:00 p.m. NST Saturday departing ridge located southeast of
Marine Weather StatementIssued 9:12 PM NST 26 February 2021 A trough of low pressure over Funk Island Bank will continue
southeastward tonight. Strong to gale force northwesterlies over
southern waters will diminish to strong southwesterlies tonight as
the trough departs.
Another trough of low pressure will approach the district from
Northern Quebec on Saturday. Gale force northwesterlies will develop
over northwestern waters late on Saturday behind this trough.
Marine interests are advised that gale warnings are in effect for the
Labrador coast and South Labrador Sea.
Marine interests are also advised that freezing spray warnings are in
effect for the Labrador Sea.
