Marine Weather StatementIssued 3:54 PM NDT 20 September 2019 A trough of low pressure extending southward from a low over Baffin
Island will continue to sweep across the district tonight. Strong to
gale force southeasterlies ahead of the trough will shift to strong
to gale force west to northwesterlies in its wake. Strong to gale
force northwesterlies will persist tonight and Saturday for northern
waters as the flow remains strong between the low to the north and a
ridge building in from the west.
Marine interests are advised that gale warnings are in effect for
North Labrador Coast - north of Saglek, Northwest Labrador Sea, and
East Labrador Sea.
