By 8:00 p.m. ADT tonight ridge located on a line north-south over
the Maritimes.

By 8:00 p.m. ADT Thursday approaching low 995 mb located off
Long Island.

Marine Weather Statement

Issued 2:40 AM ADT 21 May 2025 A low pressure system will approach the marine district from the
southwest on Thursday to lie off Long Island by Thursday evening.
Strong to gale force easterly winds will develop over southwestern
waters late Thursday ahead of the low.

Marine interests are advised that gale warnings are in effect for
Lurcher, Browns Bank, Georges Bank, LaHave Bank, and West Scotian
Slope.
