By 3:30 p.m. ADT Monday ridge located over the eastern Marine
District.
At 3:00 a.m. ADT Monday low 1000 mb located over the southwestern
Marine District.
By 8:00 p.m. ADT Monday low 992 mb located over Laurentian Fan.
Marine Weather Statement
Issued 7:48 PM ADT 11 October 2026 A low pressure system will track across the southern slope waters onMonday. Strong to gale force southerlies will switch to strong to
near gale force northeasterlies in its wake on Tuesday.
Marine interests are advised that gale warnings are in effect for
Georges Bank - southern half, West Scotian Slope - southern half,
East Scotian Slope - southern half and Laurentian Fan - southern
half.
Outlook for the start-up of the Upper Bay of Fundy lobster fishery.
Monday...Winds southwest 25 knots diminishing to light mid-day and
then to northeast 25 in the evening. Choppy sea conditions in the
evening when winds will be running against the rising tide.
Tuesday...Winds northeast 25 knots diminishing to east 10 to 15 knots
near noon then increasing to southeast 20 near midnight. Choppy sea
conditions in the morning when winds will run against the rising
tide.
Wednesday...Winds southeast 25 knots becoming southwest 25
Knots in the afternoon then to northwest 25 in the evening. Choppy
sea conditions late in the day when winds will be running against the
ebbing tide.
