Wind southwest 20 knots with gusts to 50 near thunderstorms. Wind diminishing to southwest 15 this evening with gusts to 40 near thunderstorms late this evening. Wind diminishing to southwest 10 early Saturday morning then veering to west 10 Saturday evening.

A few thunderstorms or showers becoming showers Saturday morning. Fog patches forming near midnight. Visibility 1 mile or less in precipitation and in fog patches.

Issued 7:20 PM EDT 20 May 2022 Squalls with wind gusts up to 35 knots, frequent lightning and hail of 1 to 2 centimetres are expected or occurring in the area.

This line of severe thunderstorms is located from 5 nautical miles south of South Baymouth to 11 Nautical miles south of Tobermory, moving northeast at 55 km/h.

Large hail can damage vessels and cause injury. Vessels without lightning protection should make their way to shore immediately. Mariners are advised to prepare for squalls. If underway, seek safe harbour immediately.
