Squall warning in effect

Northern Lake Huron

Issued 1:12 PM EDT 21 June 2025 Squalls with wind gusts up to 45 knots, frequent lightning, hail up to 2 centimetres and poor to very poor visibility in thunderstorms heavy at times are expected or occurring in the area.

A line of thunderstorm is moving east at 30 knots will continue to impact Lake Huron early this afternoon.

Large hail can damage vessels and cause injury. Vessels without lightning protection should make their way to shore immediately. Mariners are advised to prepare for squalls. If underway, seek safe harbour immediately. Take cover immediately, if threatening weather approaches. Consider delaying or postponing travel in areas under the squall warning.
