Northern Lake HuronIssued 2:57 PM EDT 24 July 2021 Scattered strong to severe thunderstorms are expected to develop over Lower MIchigan early this afternoon and then track across portions of Lake Huron later this afternoon and this evening.
Some of these storms could contain wind gusts of 45 knots, along with frequent lightning. There will also be the risk for a large waterspout.
Mariners are advised to prepare for potential squalls. Vulnerable vessels are most at risk and should seek safe harbour if underway. Delay travel or if underway, reduce speed or return to port if safe to do so. Consider delaying or postponing travel in areas under the Squall Watch.
