Showers beginning early this morning with a risk of thunderstorms becoming scattered flurries or scattered showers early this evening then snow this evening. Scattered flurries overnight and Tuesday. Visibility 1 mile or less in precipitation.

Freezing spray warning in effect.

Over open water freezing spray Tuesday morning and afternoon. Risk of freezing spray Tuesday late in the day.

Issued 04:35 AM EDT 16 March 2026 Conditions are favourable for the development of squalls with wind gusts up to 40 knots, frequent lightning and poor to very poor visibility in thunderstorms heavy at times.

Squalls associated with gusty southerly winds or thunderstorms approaching from the southwest will move over region this morning.

Consider delaying or postponing travel in areas under the Squall Watch.
