Issued 7:35 PM EDT 18 May 2024 Conditions are favourable for the development of squalls with wind gusts up to 50 knots and hail.Thunderstorms are expected to move eastward across the area early this evening.
These thunderstorms will be capable of producing nickel to golf ball size hail.
Large hail can damage vessels and cause injury. Mariners are advised to prepare for potential squalls. Vulnerable vessels are most at risk and should seek safe harbour if underway.
