Issued 8:52 PM EDT 18 May 2024 A cluster of thunderstorms 10 nautical miles north of Copper Harbor is moving north at 30 knots. These thunderstorms have the potential of producing wind gusts up to 35 knots, large hail, and frequent lightning.

Large hail can damage vessels and cause injury. Vessels without lightning protection should make their way to shore immediately. Mariners are advised to prepare for potential squalls. Vulnerable vessels are most at risk and should seek safe harbour if underway.
