Snow changing to flurries this evening then to snow Wednesday evening. Visibility 1 mile or less in snow.

Freezing spray warning in effect.

Over open water freezing spray.

Temperatures minus 12 to minus 4 falling to minus 14 to minus 6 this evening.

Technical Marine Synopsis

Issued 9:30 AM NDT 14 April 2026 Today Tonight and Wednesday At 9:30 a.m. NDT today trough located on a line north-south over
the Mid Labrador Coast.
By 4:00 a.m. NDT Wednesday trough located on a line north-south
over the East Labrador Sea.

At 4:00 p.m. NDT Wednesday approaching trough located over Hudson
Strait.

At 9:30 a.m. NDT today departing ridge located east of the Marine
District.

Marine Weather Statement

Issued 9:08 AM NDT 14 April 2026 A trough of low pressure over the mid Labrador will move to lie over
the Labrador Sea this afternoon and east of the marine district by
Wednesday morning. Strong southeasterlies ahead of the trough will
shift to strong to gale force northwesterlies in its wake.

A second trough of low pressure will approach the marine district
from the west on Wednesday. Strong to gale force southerlies are
expected ahead of this trough late in the day on Wednesday.

Marine interests are advised that gale warnings are in effect for Mid
Labrador Coast, North Labrador Coast, South Labrador Sea, and
Northwest Labrador Sea.

Marine interests are also advised that freezing spray warnings are in
effect for the Labrador Sea.
