At 4:00 a.m. NDT today departing trough located on a line
north-south over the East Labrador Sea.
At 4:00 a.m. NDT today ridge located on a line north-south over
the Northwest Labrador Sea.
By 9:30 p.m. NDT tonight departing ridge located on a line
north-south over the East Labrador Sea.
Marine Weather Statement
Issued 3:43 AM NDT 15 April 2026 A trough of low pressure will approach the marine district from thewest today, moving over the Labrador Sea tonight. Strong to gale
force southerlies will develop ahead of this trough this afternoon,
then shift to strong to gale force west to northwesterlies in its
wake.
Marine interests are advised that gale warnings are in effect North
Labrador Coast, South Labrador Sea - northwestern half, Northwest
Labrador Sea, and East Labrador Sea.
Marine interests are also advised that freezing spray warnings are in
effect for the Labrador Sea.
