Issued 9:30 AM NST 29 February 2024 Today Tonight and Friday At 9:30 a.m. NST today trough located on a line east-west over
central Labrador Sea.
By 4:00 a.m. NST Friday departing trough located north of Labrador
Sea.

At 9:30 a.m. NST today trough located over western Labrador.
By 9:30 a.m. NST Friday trough located on a line northwest-southeast
over the East Labrador Sea.

Marine Weather Statement

Issued 9:30 AM NST 29 February 2024 A trough of low pressure over the Central Labrador Sea will track
northward today and depart this evening. Strong to gale force
southeasterlies ahead of the trough will shift to strong to gale
force southerlies behind it.

A second trough will cross the marine district from the west tonight
and Friday. Winds will shift to strong to gale force westerlies
behind this trough.

Marine interests are advised that gale warnings are in effect for all
waters except Lake Melville.

Marine interests are also advised that freezing spray warnings are in
effect for the Labrador Sea.
