Issued 4:00 PM NST 9 December 2024 Tonight and Tuesday At 4:00 p.m. NST today ridge located on a line east-west over
Labrador Sea.
By 9:30 a.m. NST Tuesday departing ridge located north of Labrador
Sea.

At 4:00 p.m. NST today low 994 mb located over the Strait of
Belle Isle.
By 4:00 p.m. NST Tuesday low 988 mb located southeast of the
Marine District.

At 4:00 p.m. NST today ridge located over Quebec.
By 4:00 p.m. NST Tuesday ridge located over western Labrador.

Marine Weather Statement

Issued 3:41 PM NST 9 December 2024 An intensifying low pressure system over the Strait of Belle Isle
will move northeastward to lie over the Belle Isle Bank tonight, and
then southeast of the district on Tuesday. Gale to storm force north
to northeasterlies will develop over southern waters ahead of the low
then shift to strong to gale force northwesterlies in its wake.

Marine interests are advised that storm warnings are in effect for
South Labrador Coast and South Labrador Sea - southeastern half.
Gale warnings are in effect for Mid Labrador Coast - Hopedale and
south and East Labrador Sea - southeastern half.

Marine interests are also advised that freezing spray warnings are in
effect for Lake Melville and North Labrador Coast.
