By 4:00 p.m. NST Friday dissipating trough located on a line
northeast-southwest over Labrador Sea.
At 9:30 p.m. NST tonight deepening low 979 mb located over the
Great Northern Peninsula.
By 9:30 p.m. NST Friday low 962 mb located southeast of Labrador
Sea.
Marine Weather Statement
Issued 9:22 PM NST 11 December 2025 A trough of low pressure will remain nearly stationary over theLabrador Sea tonight before dissipating Friday afternoon. Meanwhile,
a low pressure system will approach the district from the southwest
to sit southeast of the Labrador Sea on Friday. Strong to gale force
northerlies will develop to the north of the trough on Friday
afternoon then spread south as the approaching low intensifies.
Marine interests are advised that gale warnings are in effect for Mid
Labrador Coast - north of Hopedale, North Labrador Coast, South
Labrador Sea - southeastern half, and Northwest Labrador Sea.
