By 9:30 a.m. NDT today quasi-stationary low 984 mb located southeast
of the Marine District.
Marine Weather Statement
Issued 3:58 AM NDT 16 May 2025 A trough of low pressure over the East Labrador Sea will movesoutheastward and merge with an approaching area of low pressure this
morning. This low will remain nearly stationary today and tonight
before pulling away to the southeast on Saturday. Strong to gale
force northwesterlies over most waters will diminish by Saturday
morning as the low moves away.
Marine interests are advised that gale warnings are in effect for all
waters except Lake Melville and Northwest Labrador Sea.
