over eastern Newfoundland.
Marine Weather Statement
Issued 3:56 PM NST 8 February 2026 A trough of low pressure over the South Labrador Coast will movesouthward to lie over the Strait of Belle Isle tonight, and continue
southward over Newfoundland on Monday. Strong to gale force east to
northeasterlies to the north of the trough will persist throughout
the forecast period.
Marine interests are advised that gale warnings are in effect for
South Labrador Sea and East Labrador Sea - southern half.
