Technical Marine Synopsis

Issued 10:30 AM PDT 1 June 2023 Today Tonight and Friday At 10:30 a.m. PDT today ridge located from Explorer to Cape Scott
then to BC interior.

At 10:30 a.m. PDT today quasi-stationary frontal system located
on a line north-south over Haida Gwaii.

At 4:00 a.m. PDT Friday quasi-stationary low 1006 mb located west
of Bowie.

Marine Weather Statement

Issued 10:33 AM PDT 1 June 2023 Ahead of a ridge of high pressure, gale force westerlies in Juan de
Fuca Strait will develop early this evening and then ease overnight.

A frontal system will remain over Haida Gwaii today and Friday.
Ahead of the front, intermittent gale force southeasterlies over
northern waters this morning will continue until this evening.
