By 10:00 p.m. PDT tonight weakening trough located over BC interior.

At 4:00 p.m. PDT today building ridge located near the offshore
waters.
By 4:00 p.m. PDT Friday quasi-stationary ridge located over Queen
Charlotte Sound.

Marine Weather Statement

Issued 3:44 PM PDT 20 June 2019 A ridge of high pressure is building west of the offshore waters
while a trough remains over the B.C. Interior.

Strong to gale force westerlies will develop through Juan de Fuca and
Johnstone Strait this evening. Gales off the west coast of
Vancouver Island will persist tonight and weaken Friday morning.
However, gales return to the west coast of Vancouver Island Friday
evening.
