Issued 9:30 PM PDT 3 August 2021 Tonight and Wednesday At 9:30 p.m. PDT tonight quasi-stationary ridge located over
northern Vancouver Island.

At 9:30 p.m. PDT tonight quasi-stationary low located over
northwestern Bowie.

At 9:30 p.m. PDT tonight frontal system located over Haida Gwaii.
By 9:00 p.m. PDT Wednesday frontal system located over McInnes
Island extending southwestward.

Marine Weather Statement

Issued 9:10 PM PDT 3 August 2021 A ridge of high pressure over Northern Vancouver Island and strong
daytime heating over the BC Interior are producing strong to gale
force inflow winds through Juan de Fuca Strait every day in the late
afternoon and evening. Winds will then ease to moderate to strong by
early morning.

A stalled front over Haida Gwaii will produce strong to gale force
southerly winds over the northern waters tonight and Wednesday, then
push onto the Central Coast Wednesday evening.

A low offshore will spread westerly gale to Northern Bowie on
Wednesday.
