Issued 4:00 AM PDT 5 October 2024 Today Tonight and Sunday At 4:00 a.m. PDT today frontal system located over Haida Gwaii.
By 10:30 a.m. PDT today frontal system located over the Central
Coast.

By 9:30 p.m. PDT tonight approaching frontal system located west
of the offshore waters.

Marine Weather Statement

Issued 3:59 AM PDT 5 October 2024 A frontal system will track across Hecate Strait this morning.
Southerly gales ahead of the front will become strong westerlies in
the wake of the front.

Later this morning the front will reach the Central Coast and slow
down rapidly, becoming mainly stationary. A swath southerly gales
over Eastern Queen Charlotte Sound, Central Coast and west coast
Vancouver Island will persist for the remainder of the forecast
period.

Another frontal system will approach tonight, bringing southerly
gales to offshore waters overnight and spreading gales into northern
and central waters throughout the day on Sunday.
