Issued 4:00 PM PDT 2 November 2024 Tonight and Sunday At 4:00 p.m. PDT today departing trough located from the North
Coast to the Central Coast then to Vancouver Island.

At 9:30 p.m. PDT tonight ridge located from Hecate Strait to
Explorer.
By 10:30 a.m. PST Sunday ridge located from the North Coast to
Explorer.

At 4:00 p.m. PST Sunday low 1004 mb located west of Bowie.
By 9:30 p.m. PST Sunday low 996 mb located west of Haida Gwaii.

Marine Weather Statement

Issued 3:57 PM PDT 2 November 2024 A sharp trough will cross the mainland coast as it moves inland this
evening. Northwesterly gales behind the trough have developed across
most outer waters and will gradually ease through tonight.

A flat ridge of high pressure will build early Sunday morning. The
ridge will lie along the mainland coast by Sunday afternoon. This
will give a calming trend until the next low pressure system
approaches Haida Gwaii on Sunday evening. Ahead of the low, southerly
gale to storm force winds will develop on Sunday night. Behind the
low, northwesterly gales, storms, and possible hurricane force winds
will follow suit Sunday overnight into Monday.
