northeast-southwest over the Central Coast.

At 4:00 p.m. PDT today building ridge located off Bowie.
By 9:30 p.m. PDT Friday ridge located on a line northeast-southwest
over Haida Gwaii.

At 9:30 p.m. PDT Friday approaching trough located west of Bowie.

Issued 3:48 PM PDT 21 May 2026 Ahead of a ridge of high pressure, northwesterly gales over Johnstone
Strait and West Vancouver Island will develop late this afternoon and
then ease overnight. Winds will redevelop Friday afternoon.
