By 5:00 p.m. PDT Monday weakening ridge from high located on a
line north-south over northern Vancouver Island.
At 5:00 p.m. PDT Monday cold front located on a line east-west
over northern Haida Gwaii.
By midnight PDT Monday cold front located on a line
northeast-southwest over southern Hecate Strait.
Marine Weather Statement
Issued 4:45 PM PDT 12 April 2026 A ridge axis over Northern Haida Gwaii will shift southeastwardtonight. Northwesterly winds off the west coast Vancouver Island will
strengthen to marginal gale force wind late this evening and then
ease overnight.
Southwest gales will develop over Queen Charlotte Sound and the
Central Coast late Monday evening ahead of a cold front.
