Technical Marine Synopsis

Issued 9:30 PM PST 19 January 2020 Tonight and Monday At 9:30 p.m. PST tonight frontal system located from the Central
Coast to Explorer.
By 8:00 a.m. PST Monday dissipating frontal system located on a
line north-south over central Vancouver Island.

At 4:00 a.m. PST Monday frontal system located west of the offshore
waters.
By 7:00 p.m. PST Monday frontal system located on a line
northwest-southeast over Explorer.

Marine Weather Statement

Issued 9:23 PM PST 19 January 2020 A frontal system on a line from the Central Coast to Explorer will
slowly move eastward tonight and dissipate over Central Vancouver
Island on Monday morning. Ahead of the front, strong to gale force
southeasterly winds will continue tonight over most southern and
central waters.

Another frontal system will approach the offshore waters on Monday
afternoon. The system will move eastward across the offshore waters
on Monday night. Ahead of the front, gale force southeasterly winds
will develop over the offshore waters Monday afternoon then spread to
most coastal waters on Monday night.
