By 10:30 a.m. PDT Thursday weakening ridge located on a line
northeast-southwest over Bowie.

At 4:00 p.m. PDT today trough located south of Explorer.
By 10:00 a.m. PDT Thursday dissipating trough located over
southeastern Vancouver Island.

Marine Weather Statement

Issued 10:26 AM PDT 22 July 2026 Ahead of a ridge of high pressure, strong to gale force northwesterly
winds over northern waters will spread to central waters and
Johnstone Strait today and then gradually end Thursday.

An upper low south of Explorer will bring a slight risk of
thunderstorms to the waters in the vicinity of Southern Vancouver
Island overnight and Thursday morning.
